SiFi cards have two types of limitations:
The balance limitation refers to the amount of funds available on the card (for more details check the question below), while the usage limitation has three subtypes: "where", "how", and "when".The "where" limitation specifies which merchants or merchant categories the card can be used at.
For example, if a card is created with a restriction to only be used at "Food & beverages" businesses, it will be declined if used at a hotel. The "how" limitation relates to the security options on the card and specifies how the card can be used. The available security options include POS payment (such as Apple Pay or Mada Pay), online payment (E-commerce), international transactions, and ATM cashout (based on availability).
Lastly, the "when" limitation refers to the card's validity period. By default, a SiFi card is valid for 4 calendar years from its creation date.
However, the card creator can set a shorter validity period based on the company's needs.
It's essential to check the card's validity period before activation to ensure it makes sense for your needs. By understanding these limitations, you can make informed decisions when creating and using SiFi cards to ensure they meet your business's financial needs.
